Journalists – How to participate
You like writing and would like your articles to be published? You would love to see your texts being translated to up to 19 languages? You want your texts to be read by young people from all over Europe? You want to be a part of a Europe-wide project that brings together over 100 young Europeans?
Then this is the place for you!
There are two ways you can participate as a journalist:
Join Meeting Halfway and become part of the regular contributer team. You will have access to our Slack channel, receive suggestions for topics and get the chance to exchange opinions and ideas with all the other writiers and our big network of translators. Join the MH family by following the instructions below!
You have a finished text that you think would be right for our page? Or maybe you have one specific topic in mind, that you’d like to write about, but you don’t want to commit to joining MH? No problem, simply contact us at email@example.com.
How to become a regular contributor
In order to apply, please send an e-mail with the subject “APPLICATION Contributor: your name” to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please write a short text (100 – 200 words) explaining why you want to work with us and what kind of journalistic experiences you’ve already made. You’re welcome to include a short CV (bullet points, preferably one page, no more than two pages) and up to three samples of your journalistic work. The latter can be pieces of writing, photography, radio or film. Please do not send large attachments, this applies especially to videos – we’d much rather have you provide a link so that we can watch it online. For any stories that are not in English, Spanish or German, please add a short synopsis (no more than five sentences). If you have unpublished work you think would fit into Meeting Halfway, please mention that as well, and we will consider publishing it on our page.
